This is something I got from a gay friend.

Your sexual orientation is not determined by whom you have sex with; it's determined by whom you fantasize about having sex with.

I think my friend gained this wisdom chasing after a male prostitute who made money having sex with men. But given his druthers (and enough money to hire a prostitute himself) he decided to hire a female prostitute and rubs my friend's nose in it.
